The gallery I am in on East Houston Street in downtown San Antonio asked me in October 2014, Bjorn, we need you to paint a Bluebonnet painting...I told them I do not paint any Bluebonnets. There are a zillion artists in Texas painting Bluebonnets, the State flower of Texas...besides that is not the way I paint. Most of my images are coming from the inside. I don't set out to paint anything specific, it just comes. For me to paint something so specific like Bluebonnets was a challenge - also because the gallery told me to do it better than anyone had ever done it before. But, they kindly added do it your way...
